A.R. Weiler, President and CEO, brings more than 20 years' experience in healthcare executive leadership positions, including: Senior Vice President of Payer Services for Emdeon; Senior Vice President for Virgin HealthMiles, a member of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group; Senior Vice President of Provider Sales and Account Management at Ingenix, a division of UnitedHealth Group; and, Vice President of Oracle's North America Healthcare division, which brought enterprise-class solutions to Payers and Providers. Mr. Weiler has also been active in international business development as Senior Vice President of Liberate Japan (an Oracle spin-off) in the late 1990’s, and Oracle Japan in the early 1990’s where he established strategic channels and alliance relationships that today generate more than $500 million in annual revenue. Mr. Weiler holds a degree in Computer Science from Harvard University. He resides with his family in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Bryan Adams, Chief Technology Officer, is an expert in big data and real-world computational systems. Prior to joining Healthsense, Dr. Adams was a Principal Investigator at iRobot and was on the initial team for iRobot's health care division. During his time at iRobot, he both led high-value internal R&D projects and acted as Principal Investigator for a project funded by the Army Research Office (ARO). Dr. Adams was selected in 2008 by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) as one of 80 top young engineers to participate in the Frontiers of Engineering program, and led a 2011 session on robotics for the NAE's Japan - America bilateral meetings. Dr. Adams received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2006, supervised by Prof. Rodney Brooks. His dissertation focused on a novel application of black-box machine learning techniques to real-world robots. He also received his M.Eng. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT in 2000 and 1999, respectively.

Charles Fazio, Chief Medical Officer, brings over 35 years' experience within provider organizations, accountable care organizations and health plans, with a focus on workplace health and care delivery and funding. Prior to joining Healthsense, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Medica Health Plans. Past positions also include Medical Director at the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement, Medical Director of the Central Minnesota Group Health Plan and emergency physician with St. Cloud Hospital and St. Joseph's Medical Center, where he was also a quality improvement consultant.

 

Certified by the American Board of Medical Management, Dr. Fazio served on the Minnesota State Taskforce on Health Care Reform and co-chaired the Minnesota State Work Group on Provider Peer Group Measurement. He is board-eligible in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Fazio holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgetown University, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine, followed by an internship with the Central Texas Medical Foundation. He also earned a Master of Science in Administrative Medicine from the University of Wisconsin.

Bryan Fuhr, Vice President of Business Development, has made a career of generating rapid sales growth for innovative, high-tech products in industrial markets. He understands the process of identifying customer needs, creating products that address these needs, and overcoming customer resistance to change. Bryan has 22 years experience in technology businesses. During this time he has worked in several disciplines including general management, marketing, engineering, and operations. As a Principal for Red Wing Technologies, Bryan has honed his technology marketing skills over the last five years. In his role as President of Alumiplate, Inc, a materials technology company, Bryan led the organization through the challenging process of introducing a revolutionary new product concept to the marketplace. At Emerson Process Management, Bryan was responsible for managing complex product line evolutions. Bryan holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Greg Melsen, CFO, brings more than 40 years' experience in finance executive leadership positions to Healthsense, including: VP Finance, Treasurer, and CFO of Techne Corporation, a publicly-held developer and manufacturer of biotechnology products sold to biomedical researchers and clinical research laboratories; VP, Finance/CFO with PLATO Learning, Inc. and American Medical Systems Holdings, Inc.; as well as 19 years with Deloitte & Touche. Greg is the cofounder of PlaCor, Inc., a former development-stage company with proprietary technology for measuring the effects of anti-platelet drugs. Melsen holds a Bachelors Degree from St. John's University (Collegeville, Minn.) and is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Darcey Schoenebeck, Senior Vice President of Managed Care, brings more than 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. Darcey's most recent experience was at Catamaran, one of the nation’s largest pharmacy benefits managers, where she was President of the MCO Division with P&L responsibility within the company's commercial, Medicare and Medicaid health plan business. Additional experience includes Vice President of Account Management at UnitedHealth Group (Optum), Engagement Principal with Prime Therapeutics, and Senior Consultant at Computer Sciences Corporation. Ms. Schoenebeck holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College, and a Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Minnesota State University.

John Schwartz, Chief Revenue Officer, has over 20 years’ experience leading client sales, solutions and account management within the healthcare and technology industries. Most recently, he was National Vice President of Sales and Account Management at Optum, the health care services division of UnitedHealth Group, leading a team specifically dedicated to growth of OptumHealth’s medical management services footprint in the government, education and labor employer market sub-segments. In addition, Mr. Schwartz has held a variety of other leadership roles within Optum, Oracle, Lawson Software, Vignette, OnDisplay, as well as time within Deloitte Consulting’s national healthcare practice. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of St. Thomas. He resides with his family in St. Paul, Minnesota.
